This past Sunday evening, we were hired to perform at “The Battleground Country Club” in Elizabethtown, NJ for their yearly “Fun With Your Son Game Show” Fundraising Event. A Family Feud, Minute To Win It and Music Trivia was requested as a way to raise money for the Elizabethtown school district.
The event organizer decided to do something completely different from the norm which was allowing the kids run around the grand ballroom aimlessly and parents drinking at the bar for the entire 4 hours. She wanted a game night to ignite some excitement while raising money, that’s where we come in.
The tickets to this fundraiser in Elizabethtown, NJ were completely sold out within a two week period with over 300 mothers and their sons in attendance.
Excitement was definitely in the air and the kids (age range were from 6-13) couldn’t wait for their 15 minutes of fame no fortune.
For moral support, we encouraged the mothers join their sons during the friendly brain and dance competition.

Classic Giant Games
The game show performance was in the main dining room while we brought in our Giant Gaming Corner which consisted of classic Giant Games like Connect 4, Dominoes, Jenga and Table Top Pool to be placed in the food area.
No video games were requested because they wanted the children to experience some nostalgia entertainment during this particular event.
Also, there was a nostalgic whip and nae nae “dance contest”, where 150 kids had a chance to show their stuff. Nothing but friendly competition, no rankings, just 12 out of 150 kids won a gift card for the best dancing.
We ended the evening in a friendly competitive game of “60 Seconds of Fame”.
This is our version of the hit game show Minute to Win It. 20 kids were allowed to compete. It was a 60 second physical challenge using solely household items. In the end, there was only 1 team, 5 participants, that brought home the gold.
Music was played throughout the entire evening so the organizers got a real bang for their buck.
The guests and coordinators loved the concept so much, we will do it again on January 17, 2016. What a fabulous way to raise money, learn and have fun all at the same time.
