Give Employees a Reason to Leave Their Usual Circles

Food, music, and an open bar set the mood, but they do not get people talking. At most company holiday parties, guests find the same three coworkers they sit near every day, and the room splits into small circles by department. Newer hires and remote staff drift to the edges, and the night ends without the connection leadership hoped for.

A professionally hosted game show gives everyone a reason to join in. Guests are placed on mixed teams, every table has something to play for, and the host keeps the energy moving so nobody feels put on the spot. The quiet analyst and the loudest VP end up cheering for the same team, and that shared experience is what people remember after the party.

You Plan the Party. We Run the Show.

Planning a holiday party is already a second job. Once your date is booked, our team handles the entertainment from the first question to the last cable.

✓

Professional host and production team

an experienced game show host leads the room, backed by a crew that runs the game technology and keeps every round on time.

✓

Screens, sound, buzzers, podiums, and scoring

we bring the full game show set, including our PlayPad audience response system and live scoreboards.

✓

Customized company and holiday content

rounds are written around your people, your year, and an inclusive seasonal theme.

✓

Formats for 20 to 300+ guests

we match the format to your headcount so every guest plays, not just a vocal few.

✓

Setup, facilitation, and breakdown

we arrive early, set up, run the show, and pack out. Your team never touches a cable.

✓

Coordination with your office or venue

we confirm load-in, power, and room layout directly with your venue contact.

You focus on your guests. We handle the show.

Popular Corporate Christmas Party Entertainment Ideas That Get Everyone Playing

Three game show formats cover almost every company holiday party we host.

PlayPad wireless keypads for office holiday party game show

PlayPad Mania

Best when everyone should play at the same time from their seat.

Teams answer every question at once on wireless PlayPads while live scores climb on screen. Nobody waits for a turn, which makes it our top pick for large groups and seated dinners.

Face-2-Face Feud buzzer podiums at a company holiday party

Face-2-Face Feud

Best for lively team competition and a big finale.

Our survey-style showdown, inspired by the classic TV game, with teams racing to the buzzer to find the top answers. For groups over 50, guests play PlayPad rounds first and the top performers advance to a live Feud finale.

Holiday game show mix at a corporate Christmas party

Holiday Game Show Mix

Best for parties that want several shorter experiences.

A fast-moving mix of rounds, such as Word Play, holiday music trivia, a Feud round, and 60 Seconds of Fame challenges. The variety keeps the room engaged across a longer evening.

Corporate Entertainment That Works Around Dinner, Drinks, and Awards

An after-work holiday crowd is different from a daytime offsite. We build the show around your run of show, not the other way around.

✓

When the show runs

most companies start the game after the main course or between dinner and dessert. Cocktail hour stays social, and the show gives the second half of the night its focus.

✓

Guests play from their tables

with PlayPads, teams compete from their seats. Nobody has to leave dinner or put down a drink to take part.

✓

Program lengths

choose a 60-minute or 90-minute show. Want the game to be the main event? Half-day and full-day team building programs are custom-priced through a rep.

✓

Awards and recognition

if you hand out end-of-year awards or want a few words from leadership, we build those moments into the program or schedule the show around them.

✓

Featured activity or finale

the show can anchor the whole evening or close the night with a winning team, a trophy moment, and a room full of noise.

Why companies choose It’s PlayTyme: we are a local team, not a national booking platform that connects you with a stranger. We know the offices, hotels, and event venues of the Tri-State area, and we show up, set up, and host your event ourselves.

Areas served: we bring office holiday party entertainment to companies throughout New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut, including Bergen County, Hoboken, Newark, Morristown, Princeton, Manhattan, and Stamford. Make the Game Show About Your Company

Your show is not a script we run at every booking. We write rounds around your organization, so the room is playing about itself.

✓

Year-in-review questions

the wins, launches, and memorable moments from your past twelve months.

✓

Company milestones

anniversaries, new offices, big clients, and goals you hit together.

✓

Department rivalries

sales against operations, the east office against the west, or any matchup your team will enjoy.

✓

Industry trivia

questions drawn from your field that your people know better than anyone.

✓

Employee surveys

a short survey before the party turns your team’s own answers into game content.

✓

Leadership and recognition moments

spotlight a retiring colleague, a top performer, or a department that carried the year.

✓

Inclusive seasonal themes

winter, year-end, and celebration themes that welcome every guest, with no Christmas-only program required.

Christmas Team Building Events in NYC, NJ & CT

Planning a Christmas team building event for your New York City office? It’s PlayTyme brings a hosted game show to your NYC office, venue, or restaurant buyout, plus offices and venues across New Jersey and Connecticut. We handle the host, equipment, custom content, and setup for groups of 20 to 300+ guests, so your team gets a holiday team building activity that feels like a party, not a workshop.

✓

New York City

Holiday party entertainment and Christmas team building for Manhattan offices, conference rooms, and restaurant private rooms.

✓

New Jersey

Office holiday parties and year-end celebrations at corporate offices, hotels, and banquet venues across New Jersey.

✓

Connecticut

Hosted holiday and Christmas party game shows for company offices and event venues in Connecticut.

✓

Venue paperwork covered

Most venues ask for a certificate of insurance. We turn it around in 1 to 2 business days after receiving the venue’s required wording.

How a Hosted Game Compares to Other Office Holiday Entertainment

Most holiday party entertainment falls into four categories. A DJ, band, or comedian entertains the room while guests watch. A hosted game show puts every guest in the game.

Format Best for group size Audience participation Needs a stage?
Hosted game show 20 to 300+ Very high (everyone plays) Recommended
Live band or DJ 50 to 1,000+ Low to medium (dancers) Yes
Comedian or magician 30 to 300 Very low (guests watch) Yes
Casino night 40 to 400 Medium (table players) No

Office Holiday Party Entertainment FAQs

How much does corporate holiday party entertainment cost?

Our shows start around $2,995 for groups of 20 or more. Final pricing depends on group size, event length, production requirements, customization, and location. A 60-minute show is also available, and half-day and full-day team building programs are custom-priced through a rep. Use our pricing estimator to see the range for your group size.

How many people can participate?

Our holiday shows are built for groups of 20 to 300+. Smaller groups compete head to head at our buzzer podiums, which support up to nine teams. Larger groups play on wireless PlayPads so every team answers every question, and the top performers advance to a live Face-2-Face Feud finale. We only need an approximate guest count to plan.

Can you host a Christmas team building event at our NYC office?

Yes. We set up in offices, venues, and restaurants across Manhattan and the NYC area, plus New Jersey and Connecticut. Many venues need a certificate of insurance, and we turn that around in 1 to 2 business days once we have the venue’s wording.

Can the show run around dinner and awards?

Yes. Most companies run the show after the main course or between dinner and dessert, and guests play from their tables. If you have awards or remarks from leadership, we build those moments into the program or schedule the show around them. We confirm the full run of show with you before the event.

Can you customize the questions for our company?

Yes. We write rounds around your company, including year-in-review questions, milestones, department matchups, industry trivia, and answers from a short employee survey. Themes are inclusive and seasonal, so every guest feels welcome, not only those who celebrate Christmas. Adding your logo and brand colors to the game screens is available as an add-on.

How far in advance should we reserve our date?

We recommend reserving your date 6 to 8 weeks ahead. December Thursdays and Fridays book first. No deposit is required, and your date is reserved once the signed performance agreement is returned. Dates are confirmed on a first-signed basis.

Check Your Holiday Party Date

Send your date, guest count, venue and budget. We set up a quick discovery call, then recommend the right format in your proposal. No deposit to hold a date. Planning a January kickoff as well? See our New Year and sales kickoff entertainment.
