Corporate Event Entertainment in New Jersey, NYC & Connecticut

A professionally hosted game show that gets your whole room playing, not watching a stage. It’s PlayTyme brings the host, the show and the equipment to your office, venue or hotel ballroom. Groups of 20 to 300+, priced up front.

THE PROBLEM WITH MOST CORPORATE EVENTS

Nobody Remembers the Buffet. They Remember Beating Accounts.

Most corporate entertainment asks your people to sit still and be entertained by somebody else. An hour later the room has eaten, clapped politely and learned nothing about each other. The event happened. Nothing changed.

A hosted game show works the other way around. Your people are the show. They are on teams, they are competing, they are shouting answers at each other, and by the end they know the names of colleagues they had only ever seen on email. That is the difference between an event people attended and an event people talk about on Monday.

Lisa Lawrence has been running these rooms since 2012, for companies across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Nothing is left to a facilitator reading from a manual.

Corporate Event Entertainment for large groups is easy to gather; getting everyone to participate is the hard part.

Ever look out at a packed room and realize half of them checked out ten minutes ago? Full seats don’t mean a captive audience.

That’s exactly why we exist. It’s PlayTyme is interactive corporate entertainment, built to bring energy and real engagement to team building retreats, conferences, and all-staff meetings, plus executive retreats, school events, and any large group you need locked in, not just seated. Think professionally hosted game shows: friendly competition, teamwork, music, lights, and people talking to each other instead of scrolling under the table. Spectators become players fast.

We bring the whole show on-site to organizations across New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

Co-workers All Year, Competitors for An Hour

Hosted on site, in your own space, with the full production brought to you.

WHAT AN EVENT ACTUALLY INCLUDES

Everything Arrives With the Host

A professional host, not a facilitator

Someone who runs a room for a living. They read the energy, keep it moving and make the quiet people want to join in.

The full production kit

Buzzers, scoreboards, sound, screens and signage. We bring it, set it up and take it away. Your venue needs a room and a power outlet.

Questions written about your company

The rounds are built around your teams, your departments, your history and your in jokes. It is your event, not a template.

A format matched to the room

Face 2 Face Feud, Game Show Mania, The Challenge and more. We pick the one that suits your group size and your agenda slot.

Teams designed to mix people up

We split the room so departments that never speak end up on the same side. That is usually the point of the day.

A clear run of show

You get the timings before the event so it drops into your agenda without guesswork.

Best Game Show Themes for Your
Office Holiday Party

Face-2-Face Feud

Best for: groups who want an instantly recognizable format with zero learning curve.

Group size: 20-300+.

What happens: two teams face off, buzzing in to guess how the room answered survey-style questions we build around your company, with a Christmas-themed round ready to go for holiday and Christmas parties alike.

Why planners choose it: guaranteed laughs, and it works even for a crowd that’s never done a game-show activity before.

Lip Sync Challenge

Best for: teams that want high energy and don’t mind employees showing off a little.

Group size: 20-150.

What happens: teams battle it out lip syncing to holiday hits (or whatever the room picks), judged live by their coworkers.

Why planners choose it: nothing breaks the ice like watching a coworker commit to a performance, and it makes great content for the company newsletter.

Minute to Win It Games

Best for: groups who want fast, rotating challenges instead of one long format.

Group size: 20-300+.

What happens: quick 60-second challenges run in heats, so many people get a turn on stage throughout the night.

Why planners choose it: keeps momentum up between dinner and dancing, and holiday themes are easy to build into each challenge.

Office Trivia Games

Best for: groups that like showing off what they know.

Group size: 20-300+.

What happens: buzzer-based trivia mixing company facts, industry knowledge, and holiday pop culture.

Why planners choose it: the easiest format to customize deeply, since almost anything can become a trivia question.

BUILT AROUND YOUR GROUP

We Write the Questions Around Your People

This is what clients ask about more than any game format. Your show is not a script we run at every booking. We build the rounds, the questions and the theme around your organisation, so the room is playing about itself.

What clients ask us to build in

  • Department versus department. Sales against operations, one floor against another. The rivalry writes itself.
  • Your company history as a round. Founding year, first client, the office move nobody has forgotten.
  • A theme you are already running. If the day has a conference theme or a campaign name, the show carries it.
  • Your leadership on the podium. Nothing levels a room faster than a director losing a buzzer round.
  • New starters written in. A fast way to make people who joined last month feel like they have been there a year.

Common Questions About Corporate Event Entertainment

What counts as corporate event entertainment?

Anything booked to give a corporate audience a reason to engage rather than sit still. In practice that means hosted game shows, interactive competitions, audience response formats and team based challenges. It’s PlayTyme runs professionally hosted game show experiences for company events across New Jersey, New York City, New York State and Connecticut.

How much does corporate event entertainment cost?

It’s PlayTyme publishes its pricing. 90-minute hosted shows start at $2,995 for groups of 20 or more. Use our pricing estimator to see the range for your group size. Groups larger than 300 are quoted individually. The price covers the host, the game show set, audio and visual equipment, a sound engineer and prizes. Setup and breakdown, customization and gratuity are quoted separately.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular dates in the holiday season and the summer event season go first, so four to eight weeks is comfortable. We have turned events around in under two weeks when a date is free. There is no deposit required to hold a date.

What size group does this work for?

From about 10 people up to 300 on the published pricing, and larger by arrangement. The format is chosen to suit the number in the room, which is why a group of 20 and a group of 250 both work.

Do you travel to our office or venue?

Yes. We come to you anywhere in New Jersey, New York City, New York State and Connecticut. Your office, a hotel ballroom, a conference centre or a private venue all work. We need a room and power.

Can you include people joining remotely?

Yes. Remote colleagues can be brought into the show so they are playing with the room rather than watching it. Tell us how many are joining from elsewhere when you enquire and we will build for it.
